Hidden Speakers & Lighting Control Montecito, CA

When we were contacted by Joel Benjamin with Bysun Construction. He shared a set of plans for a retail space with some very unique needs. They need incredible sound and not a single speaker could be seen. They need complicated lighting with no visible switches or occupancy sensors. The specification also requested other networking and data features such as Shopper Track. The final challenge is that it must be easy to use. System Engineer Wyatt Olsen with Ultraviolet AV, Santa Barbara designed a system that contains 4 hidden speakers, 8 zones of "Smart Lighting" Data & Communications and a system to control it all.

  • Audio

We've installed 4 hidden "Mud Over" speakers by Stealth Acoustics. These speakers are completely invisible and completely disappear into the drywall. This preserves the incredibly high detail finish on the ceiling without seeing anything. Even though you cannot see these speakers, sound quality is not compromised. We are simply using a SONOS Amp to power these speakers with a customized music server for their licensed music. Goop controls the playlists and remotely changes them as they desire. The Crestron control system allows them to set the mood just right.

  • Lighting Control

This small shop has 8 zones of lighting. The designer requested 6 presets for different times of the day. These lights are automatic and change to the correct settings, at the correct time, automatically. The lighting system we installed is a panelized lighting system by Crestron. The Crestron CLX Lighting system is the most advanced lighting system available today. We are using Crestron Pyng to control it all. This easy to use interface makes the entire system operational from a local iPad of remotely for the managers.

When Quality Matters

Restaurant & Bar Audio Video

Restaurant, Bar, Brewery and Dining room entertainment can be tricky, expensive and stressful. Ultraviolet AV, INC can walk you through the entire process from Equipment selection to installation

Ultraviolet AV, INC was recently awarded a contract to technically revamp Santa Barbara's oldest brewpub. The entertainment system was a complete disaster and barely usable. The new owners of the restaurant wanted this building state of the art and state of the art we made it. This restaurant is now the most technically advanced in Santa Barbara. The owners wanted a system that is very reliable, easy to use and has the most impressive audio and video quality.

During the planning phase, we decided that Crestron, the leader in Home and Commercial automation would be a perfect fit. Crestron allows us the flexibility to make any request possible. We are using Crestron for all aspects of the project. Crestron's NVX video distribution platform is the most advanced way to distribute 4K video over the network. Crestron's matrixing amplifiers, pendant speakers and pendant subwoofers are perfect for commercial spaces.

This system is installed at the Cruisery in Santa Barbara. The new owners of this business have completely reworked the old Santa Barbara Brewing Company in every way. We encourage you to check them out at 501 Haley Street in Santa Barbara. Stop in for a delicious bite and a freshly brewed pint. You will also see our impressive audio video installation while you are there.
